Got the best Winter-themed Video Game Arrangement?

On the Pixel Mixers subreddit, a dedicated forum and community based around video game music covers/arrangements, we run a monthly contest to excite and inspire ideas for fellow musicians! These are totally friendly, open to absolutely any musician, and have stirred anywhere from a couple to 30 or 40 musicians each month!

For the wintry end of the year, the group will be hosting a Winter Theme where all entries should relate to winter, the cold, holidays or Christmas/festive tunes, and so on! In addition, there will be a bonus Teams aspect to up the ante. Your entry can contribute to either Team Heavy Winter or Team Chill Winter, depending on if your cover is more aggressive a la metal/fast tempo or relaxing and soft respectively. Not only can you rock this holiday season, but you can rock it with your favorite style of music!

This contest and many of the collaborative events at Pixel Mixers are great ways to meet new artists, find new collaborators, practice new genres, and pick up new skills from like-minded artists. The votes are done by entrants, both on everyone’s favorite cover as well as a separate category for best video - Since it’s entirely based on who makes the best cover for the theme, entrants are encouraged to have fun with creative ideas. Expect to see some snowy music videos and festively-lit fireplaces!

Don’t hibernate on it, let’s get those covers of Freezeezy Peak or In a Snowbound Land started.
